Group Show #9: Galaxy of Color
Works by 35 artists fueled by color
Curated by Meredith Rosier.
Through February 22, 2015
GALAXY OF COLOR is an exhibit that showcases the work of 35 area artists who call themselves "explorers" under the brilliant guidance of mentor/artist/curator Meredith Rosier, who teaches at the Woodstock School of Art. In the words of Meredith Rosier: "Abstract drawings give invention to color and light through their alchemical diversity and kaleidoscopic fervor. Invigorating, sumptuous, and completely decadent, this exhibition embraces unapologetically the eccentricities of color."
Drama unfolds the moment of entry as the coronation of color reels out skinny striations of dazzling silvers, radiant jewel tones, fitful pinks and electric blues.
